Not a question, but free software!

This is not a question, but rather a discovery of some new (free) photoediting software for those on a budget who cannot afford Photoshop CS5. Photoscape and Photoworkshop are the 2 free offerings. I have not tried either yet but I downloaded them to give a try. :D

The first one is free photo editing software that also claims to handle RAW files!

The second one is for the more artistic and is called Photoworkshop. PostworkShop for getting artistic with your pictures and images using different styles, brushes, textures and palettes. :?

I have had a quick play with the Photoscape app and found it very intuitive and simple to use (good for people like me!). I think that I am going to give this one two thumbs up   . The only draw back to it was that I could not take a screenshot with my Screenhunter software (another freebie), so I had to take an actual camera picture and resize it with Bluefive's PIXresizer http://bluefive.pair.com/ also a free app :D. At any rate this image should give you an idea of the app's menu and controls. Photoscape also lets you convert RAW files, pick colours, screen capture (doh now it tells me!! ), splitter?, Print, make animated Gifs, Combine, Page, Batch editor, and editor. I don't know what half of that stuff does, because I am basically interested in editing photos with it. The price is right! :D

This gives you an idea of the Photoscape window and layout for "photo editing"
